One of the 6th grade girls drew me for her school’s graduation invite. She captured my hair and my perpetually rosy complexion but missed the eye color. I’ve been called 金髪, or blonde,  and asked if my blue eyes are real or contacts but I just tell them my hair is naturally the color of carrots and my eyes are naturally green. Now when I do color search games with my kindergartners, they try and touch my hair when I ask “where’s orange?” 

I love it though. I’ve gotten a few hand made pictures from my younger kids and I need to start keeping a collection.
